ケトケトさんの新作ガルロイドです。新規造形、初の塗装版。8月に抽選販売されました。
ケトケトさんはご自身の作品は元より、国内外のアーティストの作品の原型に辣腕を振るう新進気鋭の原型師ですが、今回は外部委託しての3D造形となります。原型は高精度の光成形による3Dプリンタ出力のようですが、流石に出力してそのままという訳にはいかないでしょうから、最後の仕上げはご自身の手によるものと思います。
今回、どうして手仕事ではなく、コンピュータによる3D造形と原型委託した意図があったのか自分にはわかりませんが、出来上がった作品は、これまでのケトケトさんのテイストが色濃く残りつつも、良い意味でさらに新しいファン層を獲得そうなキャッチーさも兼ね備えているように感じました。
全高約21センチ（ケトケトさんの作品で一番大きい？）、13パーツ構成、成型色はオレンジ。
This is Ktokto's new Galloid. Newly sculpted, first painted version, sold by lottery in August.
Ktokto is an up-and-coming sculptor who has been working on his own works as well as those of domestic and international artists, but this time he outsourced the 3D modeling to a third party. The prototype seems to be output from a 3D printer using high-precision photoforming, but I'm sure he can't just output it as it is, so the final touches must be done by his own hands.
I don't know why the intention was to commission the computer 3D modeling and the prototype instead of doing it by hand, but the finished work seems to have a strong sense of Ktokto's past taste, while also being catchy enough to attract a new fan base in a good way. I felt it was a good idea.
The figure is about 21 cm tall (the largest of Ktokto's works?). The figure is made up of 13 parts and is molded in orange.

中に入っていたリトグラフ。メカメカしい。シンメトリーな構成は、ガルロイドの内部メカを表しているのか、デザインコンセプトを表しているようにも感じます。
The lithograph inside. It's mechanical. The symmetrical composition seems to represent the internal mechanics of the galloid, or perhaps the design concept.

ステッカーは3D造形されたデータ。魔神兵とあります。デザインのモチーフに風の谷のナウシカの巨神兵が含まれているものと思われます。
The sticker is 3D sculpted data. It says "Demon Soldier" on it. The design motif seems to include the Giant God Soldier from Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind.

3D原型が公開されて、ひと目みて、この立ち姿に惚れました。非生物的な、魂の抜けたような不自然な立ち姿。さらに実物の作品は、メリハリがあるようで、ソフビ特有の柔らかさもある。素晴らしい表現だと思いました。
When the 3D prototype was released to the public, I took one look at it and fell in love with the way it stood. It has a non-living, soul-less, unnatural appearance. In addition, the actual work seems to be crisp, but it also has the softness unique to soft vinyl. I thought it was a wonderful expression.
カブトガニのような甲殻生物、水中モビルスーツ、魔神パンダー、巨神兵などがデザイン的モチーフに感じます。

顔は「早すぎたんだ……」のシーンを彷彿とさせながら、どこか猫が威嚇しているような愛嬌があります。

逞しい胸と割れたシックスパック。ktoktoのロゴがバーン！ と刻印されています。ここまでストレートな主張は新しいですね。考えてみれば、家電製品、スポーツ用品、車、ファッションなど、ブランドロゴがデザインの中心として据えられているプロダクトは枚挙にいとまがありません。おもちゃだってそれをしてはいけないなんて法律はありません。
He's got a rugged chest and a ripped six-pack, and the ktokto logo is stamped right on it. The ktokto logo is imprinted on it. A straightforward statement like this is new. When you think about it, there is no shortage of products in which the brand logo is the centerpiece of the design, including home appliances, sporting goods, cars, and fashion. There is no law that says you can't do that with toys.

足裏を見ると、足こそ個別のパーツとして成形されていますが、おそらく肩や腕や手のパーツは同じパーツを2回抜いているのではないでしょうか。こうすることによって、コストとして大きな割合を占める、金型の数を減らす工夫がされているのではないでしょうか。これがリトグラフに描かれたシンメトリー構図が作品コンセプトとして表現されていると思った根拠です。
Looking at the soles of the feet, the feet are molded as individual parts, but the shoulders, arms, and hands are probably the same parts that are pulled out twice. By doing this, the number of molds, which accounts for a large percentage of the cost, is probably reduced. This is the reason why I thought the symmetrical composition in the lithograph was expressed as the concept of the work.
今回の塗装は、マスク塗装されていて、その点もこれまでの作品とは異なる趣きがあります。3D原型とあわせて、今回は作品性よりもより製品的なアプローチなのかもしれません。
