木星の衛星イオの地中で平和に暮らしていたカエルたちが、動物園で飼育されていたネコが反旗を翻し、滅ぼされてしまったのです。地球に難を逃れた最後の生き残りのオタマジャクシ（彼？ が後のジャクシー閣下なのかは物語の中では判別できません）が、追手のネコ君の艦隊の予測降下地域、箱根の大涌谷で迎え撃つ！ しかし、彼は非力なオタマジャクシですから、高校生の時からこれと目星をつけていた地球人のあかねに協力を仰ぐのでした。
地球滅亡まで後2ヶ月、普通の女子大生あかねとオタマジャクシのてりたま、地球の運命は如何に？！
