モンスター、怪物、怪人、化け物…。異形の隣人達の肖像画を、日本のロウブロウアートシーンを代表する二人のアーティスト「Rockin’JellyBean」と「Sketch」が、ユーモラスに、そして哀愁、愛情を込めて描き、人々を魅了したイベント「The MONSTERS SHOWCASE ~となりのモンスター展~」。
そこで生み出されたJelly Bean氏の魅力溢れるモンスター達を名立たる原型師を起用し具現化していく”blackdots”のNEWプロジェクト。
音楽やカスタムカーカルチャーと言われるアンダーグラウンドの世界で活躍するJelly Bean氏が新たな分野で繰り広げる虚寓世界の主人公達。
是非貴方もこの怪しい村に一度足を踏み入れ、手に取ってご覧ください。

I was waiting for the painted version to be released and was looking at my Twitter timeline when I saw a well-timed tweet about the release, so I immediately added it to my cart. ヘッダーデザインは、キャラクターデザインを担当されたロッキンジェリービーンさんによるもの。
The header design is by Rockin' Jerry Bean, who is responsible for the character design.
ヘッダーを剥がさなくても中身が取り出せました。前回、袋の底を破ってるって書いていたので、嬉しい仕様でした。
I was able to get the contents out without peeling off the header. Last time I wrote that I ripped the bottom of the bag, so it was a happy spec.
ツインヘッドというキャラ名のとおり、２つの頭部が特徴的なキャラクターです。双頭というのは、ソフビで人気あるモチーフですが、長く伸びた首が珍しいと感じました。
As the name implies, Twin Head is a character with two distinctive heads. The two-headed figure is a popular motif in soft vinyl, but I found the long, extended neck to be unusual.
フリーキーモンスターヴィレッジシリーズは現在３つのキャラが登場しておりますが、そのどれも原型師さんが異なります。今回原型を担当されたのは、オリジナルでレジンフィギュアなどを発表されているMonster Farm ”CHOP”さん。
There are currently three characters in the Freaky Monster Village series, all of which have different prototypes. This time, the prototype was created by Monster Farm "CHOP", who has been releasing original resin figures.
しっかりと自立する歪な前傾姿勢。確かな技術を身に着けた原型師さんによる造形であることが伺えます。
A distorted forward leaning posture that is firmly independent. It can be seen that this is a modeling by a master sculptor who has acquired a solid technique.
今回のカラーリングはエンジ色？ ワインレッド？ のセーターにデニムのオーバーオールという色分け。草彅剛さんのユーチューブで、この配色はデニムに超マッチするとか紹介していたような……、なるほど、確かに！
Is the color scheme for this time an Enji color? Wine red? This is a color-coded sweater and denim overalls. On tuyoshi Kusanagi's YouTube, it seems that this color scheme is super-matching with denim...I see!
頭部は１つ目の骸骨です。
The head is the skeleton of the first eye.
特に左の骸骨の顔がひょうきんで良いですね。しゃべくり漫才創始者エンタツ・アチャコをなんだか連想しました。正確には二人をモチーフとしたマザー３に登場するエントツ・アチャトを。
Especially, the face of the left skeleton is good. It reminded me of the founder of Shabekuri Manzai, Enteratsu Atchako. More accurately, it's a motif of two people, Entatu Achato from Mother 3.
この頭部の形状は、すごく大胆で通常のスラッシュ成形では難しそう。
The shape of the head is so bold that it would be difficult to do normal slash molding.
首の湯口の造形を見るに、頭部はローテーション成形なのでは、と思いました。

www.youtube.comローテーション成形とは、通常インディーズソフビでよく採用されるスラッシュ成形と異なる金型で、費用は嵩むものの、造形の自由度が上がり、金型サイズも大きくできるそうです。どちらが良いというものではなく、スラッシュ成形もコストが安くできるメリットがあるし、制限がある中で表現するという面白さがあります。
コレクターさんの中ではスラッシュ成形こそソフビと考える方もいらっしゃるかと思います。ローテーション成形は海外製と思ってましたが、この製品はメイドインジャパン。この考察が正しければ、日本でもローテーション成形できる工場があるんですね。そういえば、ジャイアントミロクはサイズの関係でローテーション成形らしいですし、日本のスラッシュ成形の設備やノウハウが、まるごと海外に流出している（というと悪いような言い方だけど）そうなので、成形方法では製造国を限定できないかもしれません。
Rotational molding is a different type of mold from slush molding, which is often used in indie soft furnishings, and although it is more expensive, it allows for more freedom in modeling and larger mold sizes. It's not that one is better than the other, but slush molding has the advantage of being able to do so at a lower cost, and it's interesting to be able to express yourself in the face of limitations.
Some collectors may think that slush molding is a soft vinyl. I thought the rotation molding was made overseas, but this product is made in Japan. If this consideration is correct, there are factories in Japan that can do rotational molding. Come to think of it, the Giant Miroku is said to be rotational molding because of its size, and all of Japan's slush molding equipment and know-how has been leaked overseas (it sounds like a bad way to say it), so it may not be possible to limit the country of manufacture by the molding method.
歯の部分が拭き取りされて、朽ちた感じが表現がされています。

ヒートテック的な黒いタートルネック。ギューンと伸びた首がユーモラスです。

スティッチがしっかりと描かれています。手書き風ですが、全部マスク塗装かな？

膝のツギハギもしっかり。
The kneecap is also solid.
腰のカンチャク部分も違和感無し。腰だめしている姿勢でしっかり設置しているのが素晴らしいです。
There is no discomfort in the kanchak part of the waist. It's great that it's firmly in place in a hunchbacked position.
サイズ感。大きいです。
Size Sensation. It is large.
靴の裏にしっかりと原型師さんの名前が刻まれています。ソフビでは原型師の名前を非公開とすることも多く、それはそれで推測する楽しみがあるのですが、こうしてしっかりとクレジットしてくれるのは、原型師としては嬉しいことではないかとも同時に思いました。また、このシリーズはキャラによって異なる原型師さんの違いも楽しむという趣旨があるのかもしれませんね。
The name of the masters is firmly engraved on the soles of the shoes. Many soft vinyl models don't disclose the names of their prototypes, so there's a lot of fun in guessing the names, but at the same time I think it's a good thing that the prototypes are credited so well. Also, this series may have the intention of enjoying the differences in the prototypes of the different characters.
分割箇所が不自然さなくて素晴らしいです。
