ぶたのはなさんの5月販売分ラストとなります。1962年公開の東宝映画「キングコング対ゴジラ」等に登場した突然変異により巨大化した大ダコをモチーフにした作品です。
映画ではファロ島の島民を捕食しようとしたところ、キングコングと遭遇して戦いになります。
全高約９センチ、２パーツ構成、赤成形。

この部分は、タコの道具とか言って内蔵類が入っているそうなんですけど、縦長のプロポーションが独特です。青森県の郷土料理でしたっけ？ 見た目がグロテスクなんですが、美味しいそうです。一回食べてみたい。最近はそうでもないそうですが、海外ではあまりタコ自体食べることがないそうですね。悪魔の化身という風説以外にも、知能がかなり高いらしいので、そういう意味でも敬遠されているみたいです。

前回、前々回と赤成形と書きましたが、少しピンクかかった、缶詰のシロップに浸かったサクランボのような成型色に、赤い塗料で塗られています。

表の塗装の繋がりと、後頭部と背中の刻印の中心線がズレています。こういう緩さが良いんですよね。もしかすると、個体差かもしれません。

瞳孔が縦に入った瞳。筆塗りの息遣いが、じんわりと温かみとなって感じいることができます。

タコの足にはしっかりと吸盤が造形されています。じっくり見ると集合体恐怖症を発症しそう。自分は結構、このゾワゾワする感覚が好きです(笑)。
The suckers are firmly sculpted on the octopus's legs. If you look at it carefully, you may develop a collective phobia. I quite like this creepy feeling (lol).
分割位置的に、間着をグリグリ動かしてポージングさせるというよりは、オブジェ的に楽しむ作品かな、と感じます。他の怪獣と絡ませたい！

キングコング対ゴジラより登場ということで、ぶたのはなさんのキンゴジと、それに絡ませる目的で作られたゴリラと並べます。
