宇宙鉄猿1号のモチーフである宇宙服を来た猿を継承しておりますが、より未来的に、ヒロイックなデザインになったと思います。

一番の改修部分は、シンプルな球体形状ゆえに歩留まりの良くなかったクリアフードが、3パーツ構成のヘルメットになっています。

大きなヘルメットにより頭身が強調されてかわいいプロポーションになっていると思いました。

ヘルメットは、首の部分とヘルメット本体、クリアフード部分の3つに分解されています。クリアフード部分のくり抜きは、複雑な形状を超音波カッターで一つ一つフリーハンドで加工されているそうで、とても神経をつかいそうな作業です。ソフビ成形時の歩留まりは改善されたかもしれませんが、キッカケトイさん自体の負担は増えてしまったのではないでしょうか（苦笑）。こういうところも、キッカケトイさんの職人気質が強く感じられます。

せっかくの未塗装ですし、塗装ハゲもしませんから、ヘルメット分解を試みたのですが、外すと元に戻すのが困難そうだったので断念。ヘルメットを外さなくても、首をひっぱったり、押したりしながら動かせば、中の猿の首だけを動かすことができます。
