タライキンのてにをはさん作品第二弾。今回のモチーフは、ブルドッグです。名前はさっち。
脅威の造形・テクスチャ表現と、ソフビ分割・パーツ構成によるブルドッグ完全再現。
名前の由来は、フォーリーブスの「ブルドッグ」という曲の歌詞にある、♪二進も三進もどうにもブルドッグ♪ というサビの一節より。

「二進も三進も」とは、そろばんの割り算から出た語で、計算のやりくりという意味で、特にブルドッグとは関係ありません。語感、語呂合わせと、突拍子もないことで人間の興味を惹くような効果をねらったのでは（たぶん、行動心理学にちゃんとあるはず、カルギュラ効果とかバーナム効果とかそういう類の）。
全高約8センチ、全長約12センチ、9パーツ構成、成型色は黒。

ブルドッグ特有のダブついた皮膚によって、カンチャクの分割が目立たなくなっています。
ブルドッグは、18世紀ごろの英国で雄牛（ブル）と犬を戦わせる牛いじめという見世物が流行し、牛に対抗できる犬として開発された犬の品種の一つで、そのタブ付いた皮膚は怪我をしにくいように、潰れた鼻は噛み付いた時に呼吸しやすいように品種改良された……と知識を披露しようとしたら、これはどうやら事実ではないようです。
英国で動物虐待法が成立すると、ブルドッグは愛玩犬として闘争に必要だった獰猛な性格も取り去られ、現在では強面とは裏腹に、温厚且つおとなしいそうです。
個人的に、憧れの犬種ですが、飼うには暑いのが苦手で、皮膚を清潔にしておかなければ皮膚炎になりやすい。鼻の短い犬種に共通する特徴で、目が傷つきやすいので、注意が必要。また純血種特有の健康問題もあるようです。

ソフトビニール人形に新たな可能性を見出した、非常に挑戦的な作品と感じました。
