前回の開封・シヴァ編に続きまして、後編1月に抽選販売された田宮製作所(TAMIYA WORKS)さんのバンザイ! シヴァくんです。
前回夜勤前に急いでアップしたので、情報に抜けがございました。
こちらの作品の原型は、ミロクトイさんです。
さてさて、カーリー神はヒンドゥーの血と殺戮の女神で、シヴァ神の妻の一柱（デーヴィーの凶暴な相のひとつとも）とされています。南インドで信仰されていた、土着の神の性質が集合された神とされ、現在も特に信仰の篤い地方があるそうです。
全高約14センチ、2+1パーツ構成。
Following on from the Shiva section in the last issue, here is the second part of the lottery sale in January of Tamiya Works' Banzai! Shiva-kun.
The last time I uploaded this, I was in a hurry before my night shift, so I left out some information.
The original model of this piece is by Mirock Toy.
Now, Lord Kali is the Hindu goddess of blood and carnage, and one of the wives of Shiva (also one of the violent phases of Davy). She is said to be a deity of the collective nature of the indigenous deities that were worshipped in South India, and even today there are regions where she is particularly devout.
The figure is approximately 14cm tall, and consists of 2+1 parts.
シヴァくんにはリンガが別パーツでしたが、カーリーには生首が付属します。
生首はこの作品の注目ポイントの一つです。
Shiva comes with a separate Linga, but Karlie comes with a raw head.
The raw head is one of the highlights of this work.
ヒンドゥーの神々の敵であるアスラの大将であるラクタヴィージャの首です。
カーリー本体にぴったりと嵌合するように、彫込がされています。ちょっとめずらしいし、難易度が高そうな仕上げです。
This raw head is that of Laktavijaya, the chief of the Asuras, the enemies of the Hindu gods.
It has been carved so that it mates perfectly with the body of the khali. The finish is a bit unusual and seems to be very difficult to achieve.
流血で分身を作るラクタヴィージャですが、カーリーはその血を吸い尽して倒します。勝利に酔うと踊りだしました。そのあまりの激しさに大地が粉々に砕けそうだったので、夫のシヴァが横たわって、お腹で衝撃を吸収したそうです。
……絵画でよく見るシチュエーションですが、めちゃくちゃシュール……。昔の人は、地震をカーリーが踊ってる、と理由にしたんでしょうね、多分。
Raktavijaya made an alter out of the bloodshed, but Kali sucked up all the blood and danced in triumph. Her husband Shiva lay down and absorbed the shock with his belly because the earth seemed to shatter from the sheer intensity of the dance. ......This is a situation you often see in paintings, but it's so surreal ....... In the past, people would have reasoned that the earthquake was caused by Kali dancing, maybe.
僕は、カーリーといえばメガテンのイメージだったので、肌は赤のイメージが強いです。
伝承では青みがかった黒、4本の腕を持っていて、首にはドクロのネックレスという姿です。
In my mind, Carly is the image of Megaten, so I have a strong image of her as having red skin.
In the lore, she is bluish black, has four arms, and wears a skull necklace around her neck.
