立体物やソフビを制作したことのないアーティストと共に、今までなかった玩具ではないアートーピース＝作品としてのソフビを制作、展開するという「VINYLS」より、モニョチタポミチさんのモニョガールが、ようやく僕の手元に届きました。
「ようやく」なのは、ずっと東京駅構内にあるショップや個展でしか販売されなかったからで、パンデミックが落ち着いて、東京遠征できるようになんないかな、とヤキモキしながら待っていたところ、代官山 蔦屋書店から通販可能な受注販売が開始され、飛び付いたのでした。
受注は7月で、発送は10月。待ってた～。
全高は約11センチで2パーツ構成。成型色は……なんだと思います？ 記事中で明らかになります。僕は驚いた（笑）。
I've finally received Monyo Girl by Monyo Chitapomich from "VINYLS", a company that works with artists who have never made 3D or soft vinyl before to create and develop soft vinyl as an art piece that is not a toy.
The reason why I say "finally" is because they've only been available at the Tokyo Station store and solo exhibitions for a long time, and I've been waiting anxiously for the pandemic to settle down so that I could travel to Tokyo, and when Daikanyama Tsutaya started selling them by order, I jumped at the chance.Orders were taken in July, and shipping was in October. I've been waiting so long!
The figure is about 11cm tall and made up of two parts. What do you think the molding color is ......? It will be revealed in the article. I was surprised (laughs).

僕はソフビコレクターではあるんですが、モニョチタポミチさんは存じておりまして、絶賛開発中のiOS用のローグライクゲーム「Gesuido」のアートワークを一部担当されているんですね。それで注目していた作家さんだったので、その方がソフビを発表するというので、人生どこで繋がるかわからないものですね。

ファニーでキュート、けど匿名性の高い少女なんですけど、なんかすごくパンチあるビジュアルしています。
今回のカラーは、緑色の髪がひときわ目を惹きます。
僕は勝手にビリー・アイリッシュカラーと言っていたんですが、最近は金髪なんすね……。

2頭身にしては脚が長く、どこか不安定な感じが良いですね。

つまり、このソフビは、フル塗装されています！ 目のハイライトも塗装です。
どこで分割すればよいのか、塗装方法など、ソフビを作る人間からすると、難題だらけの作品だったのではないでしょうか。

髪のネオングリーンの塗装は、微かな色ムラによって立体感が感じられてとても良いです。

ヘアピンは完全なペイントなんで、今後、リボンやカチューシャだとか、いろんなバリエーションが出てきたら面白いですね。服装の柄なんかも。
作家さんご本人のハンドペイントのカスタムペイント素体としては、最高なんじゃないでしょうか。真っ白の素体で、塗り絵バージョンとか出たら面白いかもしれません。
仕上げが大変そうなので、量産しやすい感じではないですが、今後もバリエーション展開していただきたいな、と思いました。
VINYLSブランドのソフビを今回、初めて手にしましたが、これはまさしくソフビ作家が作りそうにない作品だと感じました。
