もう名前に書いてあるのでバレバレなんですけど、かのネズミ野郎は、アート作品でもモチーフとしても大変人気があります。
どうしてそこまで人気があるかというと、やっぱり知名度が高くキャッチーであること。それに加えて、著作権的にもヤバイ対象であるということがあげられると思います。都市伝説などで、無許可で看板にイラストを描いたら、黒スーツの厳つい連中がやってきて、巨額の使用料を請求された……とか聞いたことがありよね。キャラクターを守るためなので真っ当なんですけど、巨大企業のパワーを感じる部分で、なんだかダーディーな印象を受けます。そういう部分を風刺するには良いモチーフなんだと思います。ギリギリを攻める姿勢。聞いた話によりますと、あの耳の形を重ね合わせて何割同じかで厳格にオーケー、駄目が決まるとかなんとか。

今回の造形も、素朴に見えて実に味わい深いものがあります。
塗装はラフな塗り分けに見えて、マスクはとてもシャープです。
マットな塗料が新鮮。
