今週のお題「最近ゲットしたもの」
今週は玩具紹介強化週間と題しまして、ソフビの連続レビューを開始いたします！
第一回は、8月に抽選され、9月に届いた白熊屋さんのドデ怪獣シリーズ第二弾であるガラガラゴンの紹介です。
双頭のヤギの怪獣ということで、その見た目はマルサンのオリジナル怪獣の火山怪獣バロンをモチーフにされているのかな、おそらく。
名前のガラガラゴンは、ノルウェー民話集に収録されている『三びきのやぎのがらがらどん』由来と思われます。
ちなみにこの童話は、となりのトトロのエンディングで、サツキとメイが布団の中でお母さんに、この本を読んでもらっているそうです。絵本は三匹のヤギが太りたくなって山を降りる、途中にかかる橋の下には醜いトロールがいて……というあらすじなので、トトロ=トロールってことなのかしら。閑話休題。
アームジョーでも思いましたけど、白熊屋さんのネーミングセンスがめちゃくちゃ光ってますね。
全高約25センチ、6パーツ（アウトフィットパーツ付き）、成型色はピンク。
追記:作家さん御本人から、記事に反応いただけました。
バロンに似たのはたまたまで、ブルマァクのキングキドラの首がワンパーツでてきているところがイメージとしてあるそうです。ガラガラゴンの下半身が魚なのは、カリオストロの城の指輪を一つに合わせるシーンで、山羊座の紋章が着想にあるそうです。この半分ヤギ・半分魚の生き物は「シー・ゴート」と呼ばれていて、古代の神話から受け継がれてきた存在みたいです。たとえば、古代バビロニアの神エンキなど。
This week marks our "Toy Spotlight Week," kicking off with a series of soft vinyl reviews!
First up is Garagaragon, the second installment in Shirokuma-ya's Dodekaiju Series, which was drawn by lottery in August and arrived in September.
Being a two-headed goat monster, its appearance seems inspired by Marusan's original monster, the volcanic monster Baron.
The name Gara Gara Gon likely comes from the Norwegian folktale "The Three Billy Goats Gruff," included in Norwegian folk tale collections.
Incidentally, this story is featured in the ending of My Neighbor Totoro, where Satsuki and Mei have their mother read this book to them while tucked in bed. The story follows three goats who want to get fat and head down the mountain, only to find an ugly troll under the bridge they cross... So does that mean Totoro = Troll? But anyway.
Like with Arm Joe, Shirokuma-ya's naming sense really shines here.

The resemblance to Baron was coincidental; apparently, the image was inspired by the fact that King Ghidorah's neck in Burumaaku is depicted as a single piece. The reason Garagaragon's lower body is fish-like is inspired by the scene in The Castle of Cagliostro where the rings are combined, specifically the Capricorn emblem. This half-goat, half-fish creature is called a "Sea Goat" and seems to be a being passed down from ancient mythology. For example, the ancient Babylonian god Enki.

極光新聞とは、白熊由来でオーロラのことでしょうね。

The Aurora News, I suppose, is derived from polar bears and refers to the aurora borealis.

童話の中で、一番最後に出てくる大きなヤギがこんなだったら、トロールも負けちゃうわ。

If the giant goat that appears at the very end of the fairy tale looked like this, even the trolls would be defeated.
海老みたいな尻尾が面白い。
That shrimp-like tail is funny.
ふたつの頭は、狛犬や仁王像のように、阿吽になってます。
The two heads are arranged in an A-Un posture, like guardian lion-dogs or Nio statues.
原型に年単位を必要とし、モールドを目でなぞるだけで感嘆してしまいますね。

The prototype takes years to create, and just tracing the mold with your eyes is enough to make you gasp in awe.

メタリックブルーが映えますね。

It was a Gara Gara Gon.
Getting something this size and quality at this price in the Reiwa era is insane.
It's the best.
