メディコムトイが一回500円のガチャガチャ形式で展開する、ビニールアーティストガチャ。その２９弾にラインナップされた、フテコネコの第二弾が、32.5弾として10月中旬よりリリースされました。基本的に全国のヴィレッジヴァンガード ・まんだらけ ・トイザらス等でガチャ筐体が置かれているようです。

10月に抽選販売された画家のナガモトマイさんのソフビ「ノライヌ」です。
ナガモトマイさんのソフビ作品には、裏コンセプトが存在して、病気におかされた少年NEAには「強さ」、虹を吐く怪獣とけん玉を持つ少年のinnocent&coreは「感動」、 多肉植物みたいな怪獣shincasoは「希望」、ツンとすました顔の猫FUTENEKOは「癒」となります。

コーナーギャラリーさんによるプロデュース（塗装もご担当）、アーティストでありキュレーターでもあるTOMASONさんによるデザインです。原型は別の方が担当されているようです。

It is produced by Corner Gallery (who is also in charge of painting) and designed by Tomason, an artist and curator. The prototype seems to have been designed by someone else.

D.B.T.Hとは、"don't believe the hype."の略で、インチキを信じるなという意味のようです。hypeには、誇大宣伝やプロパガンダという意味もあるため、マーケティングや他人の批評なんかを頼りにはしない、作品そのもので勝負だ！ というような熱いメッセージを感じます。"don't believe the hype."は、ヒップホップやスケーターシーンなどでは馴染み深い一節で、 D.B.T.H TOYSさんの世界観の一部、これから誕生していく作品を想像できる屋号となっています。

GO、Quest2とフェイスブックに魂を売ってしまった自分としては、VRとMRの両方を兼ね備える、未来の機器として購入を検討していた製品です。
1000ドルを降らないとされていた製品でしたが、発表された価格は1500ドル。
ほう……日本円で約230,000円……。
……し、しかし、ありがたいことに、僕のブログは、Quest2と関連アクセサリのアフィリエイトで10万円くらい稼ぐことができました。機能・性能によっては、追加の予算を出すのもやぶさかではありません。この記事で検討してみましょう。

今回のトピックは、ちょっとセンシティブな話題です。炎上しないかな……僕にそんな影響力ないですよね……わかってます。こんなめんどくさいこと言ってるやつ居るよ！ とか告げ口しないでね……。
ソフビは、ブームの今なお渦中にあり、たくさんの作家さんが素晴らしい作品を発表していますし、過去の名作も再評価されていますよね。

マーベル・オキナワさんの作品は初所持となります。マーベルオキナワさんを初めて知ったのは、約6年前に開催されたレストアさん・ポップソーダさん主催のカスタムペイントコンテストだったと記憶しています。

This is my first possession of Marvel Okinawa's work. I remember the first time I got to know Ms. Marvel Okinawa was at a custom painting contest sponsored by Mr. Restore and Mr. Pop Soda about 6 years ago.
当時、彗星のごとく現れコンテストの優勝者の一人となりました。最初のカスタム作品を見た瞬間、マーベルオキナワさんが優勝はほぼ間違いない、と確信に至る超クオリティでしたし、なにより驚異的なのは、作風の異なるカスタム作品を一つではなく、いくつも出展されたことでした。コンテスト後は、数々のソフビ作家とのコラボ、自身のオリジナルソフビの発表と活動の幅を広げていかれました。

The fourth Spartoi series features freehand painting, one of Marvel Okinawa's signature techniques. The freehand painting is a one-shot drawing without drafts in the style of a tattoo flash, and is a superb work of art unique to Marvel Okinawa, who specializes in the freehand lettering technique used for motorcycle customization, etc.
