先日、墓場の画廊WESTにて開催されたスカルトイズさんのポップアップショップで手に入れたガイツDXです。

本体。
ボディはパンクドランカーズさんとリアルヘッドさんのコラボによるアイツのボディです。頭部とオーバーグローブが新規造形となっています。
Body.
The body is a collaboration between Punkdrunkers and Real Head. The head and overglobe have been newly sculpted.
デンゲキグローブ。そう、見た目はウェアラブルなゲーム周辺機器のアレです。前腕部にあるのは、世界でもっとも売れたモバイルゲーム機的な。クリアなのでちょっと見づらいですが、液晶画面にもデジタルな顔が造形してあります。
Dengeki Globe. Yes, it looks like a piece of wearable gaming peripherals. It's on the forearm, like the world's best-selling mobile game console. It's a little hard to see because it's clear, but there's a digital face on the LCD screen as well.
手のひらに目が付いています。悪魔召喚プログラムとか入ってそう。五指が左右対称にデザインされていますので、どちらの腕に嵌めても大丈夫です。
His eyes are on his palm. It's likely to have a demon summoning program or something. The five fingers are symmetrical, so you can wear it on either arm.
こちらがインナーパーツとなるアクリル板。厚みが三ミリほどあって、重量感あります。レーザー切断してあるっぽい。
This is the inner part of the acrylic board. It is about three millimeters thick and has a sense of weight. Looks like it's been laser cut.
プラモデル的な意匠が施されていますが、ライナー切り離しは必要なく、指で押してやると分離します。
Although it has a plastic model-like design, it does not require liner detachment, and will separate when pushed with a finger.
ここから組み立て編。
The assembly section starts here.
ドライヤーで本体を温めてやります。
Warm up the body with a hair dryer.
クリアなので、最初から柔らかいですが、分厚く成形されていますので、しっかり温めてやったほうが良いです。
Since it's clear, it's soft to begin with, but it's thickly molded, so it's better to warm it up thoroughly.
インナーパーツをねじり込みます。
Screw in the inner parts.
完成。
Completion.
同じ要領で各パーツにインナーパーツを入れて行きます。
Insert the inner parts into each part in the same way.
ボディのインナーパーツがちょっと配置が難しかったです。余裕のある作りなので、組み立てはかなり簡単です。
It was a little difficult to place the inner parts of the body. It's built with plenty of room, so it's pretty easy to assemble.
ブランドタグのオプションパーツ付き。キーチェーンも付いています。
Includes optional branded tags. It also comes with a key chain.
首にかけてみました。
キーチェーンがシルバーアクセサリーっぽくていい感じになりました。
I slung it around my neck.
The key chain looks like a silver accessory, which is a nice touch.

プレーンだけどアクの強いアイツをどのようにコラボするのか。とてもむずかしいコラボだったと思うのですが、映画、テレビゲーム、メタル、オカルト……ノスタルジーをくすぐってくる沢山の要素が主張しすぎず、素晴らしいバランスでまとまっています。もちろん、もとのアイツの良さも残っています。

How do you collaborate with a guy who is plain but strong? It's a very difficult collaboration, but it's a great balance of movies, video games, metal, occult... a lot of elements that tickle my nostalgia without being too assertive. Of course, the goodness of the original guy is still there.
日本製の透明度の高いクリア素体を活かしたインナーパーツ。
未来からやって来たアイルビーバック的なサイボーグ感もありつつ、どこかでみたことのあるゲーム機のデザイン要素が散りばめられています。デンゲキグローブとの相性もピッタリですね。
The inner parts are made in Japan with a highly transparent and clear body.
It has a cyborg-esque feel, like an Ail Bevac from the future, but with some familiar game console design elements sprinkled in. It goes well with the Dengeki Globe.
背中からの鑑賞は想定されていない仕様ですが、骨感が強まって案外面白い感じになっています。
It's not supposed to be viewed from the back, but it has a stronger sense of bone and is unexpectedly interesting.
この髪型、当日来場した人はピーン！ と来る。

後頭部に六芒星があります。
文字はPD=PUNKDRUNKERS、ST=SKULLTOYS、RH=REALHEADを表していて、それらが魔法陣による悪魔的な儀式によって誕生したのが、ガイツということなのかな？
There is a six-pointed star on the back of the head.
The letters stand for PD=PUNKDRUNKERS, ST=SKULLTOYS, RH=REALHEAD, and they were born through a demonic ritual with magic crowds.
